We are desperate – so, if you think you are able to help, please contact:
Kim Kerslake, Amanda Richards or Victoria Wolf on 01803 868425 – now! Thank-you.
We need car Drivers – to take our clients to medical appointments, to our Lunch Clubs, Monday – Friday, 12.00 – 2.00pm, or to our organised clubs – our Arts & Crafts Club on Monday pm, and New Directions on Wednesday pm.
As well as Mini-Bus Drivers – to take clients shopping on Mondays and also to our Lunch Clubs (Mon – Fri, not including Bank Holidays). Please call Jacquie, Amanda or Victoria for further information – 01803 865684.
We need Helpers for our Mini-Bus (to assist clients on and off our bus, and help deliver them safely to their destinations).
Would you like to be one of our Volunteer Shoppers?
Our Volunteer Shoppers either pick up a list, shop and deliver the shopping to our client’s home, (Delivered Shopping), or, if they and the client agree, they may take the client with them, (Assisted Shopping).
Once again, if you think you are able to help, please call, Jacquie, Amanda or Victoria – 01803 865684
We always need Befrienders.
Maybe you would enjoy spending some time with one of our clients?
Some of our elderly clients have led such interesting lives, and have so many stories to tell. Or maybe they would just like to chat about everyday things over a cuppa. Some may even like to go for a little stroll in the sunshine.
Please call Jacquie, Amanda or Victoria on 01803 865684, if you are able to help.
We urgently need volunteers to help with the following tasks:
We are still searching for someone who can help us with distribution of publicity, mainly around Totnes. This would be a commitment of around 2 hours per month, usually at the start of the month. All the publicity points on our list are within easy walking distance of the town centre and are happy to take our posters, which makes it very easy!
We also need a driver who wouldn’t mind collecting donations as and when people ring in. People usually donate small goods: books, bric-a-brac, clothes, household items, that type of thing.
Call us, have a chat and we will go from there. The next step will be to send information out to you, along with a covering letter and some simple forms to fill in.
When you have completed the forms, please return them to the office. We will then invite you to come for an informal interview to discuss what you would like to do, and to meet the other members of staff. At our meeting you will be asked to complete a DBS disclosure form, so please bring with you either your passport, birth certificate, driving licence or marriage certificate plus a utility bill.
