The People behind Totnes Caring

Totnes Caring has a large pool of workers most of whom are volunteers. These volunteers willingly give their time to support clients in the community – by driving them to appointments, befriending, shopping and much more.

We were originally set up in 1987 by doctors of the town of Totnes to provide extra help and support for their patients. Since then the charity has expanded and now offers a range of services, including transport, shopping, befriending, form filling, lunch clubs, Home Help service and more.

Meet some of the staff who help make it all happen.

Totnes Caring is a registered charity and is governed by a Board of Trustees who are responsible for making policy decisions, staffing and funding of the organisation. All trustees give their time voluntarily and receive no benefits from the charity.
